It appears to be a little laggy in the brower, also you might want to turn your volume down or mute the browser tab, especially if you are playing in the browser which seems to lag the already less than optimal quality audio out some lol. To fix the screen being cut off in the browser you may need to fullscreen it using the blue button in the bottom right.

This is a small, top-down, endless arcade game I made using Unity game engine. It is the first game I have made without directly following a tutorial. The music along with a few sound effects are from the course library from the free Unity course "Create With Code." The rest of the sounds I made using a mix of SFXR and Audacity, however I am not very good at sound design or pixel art, but I did my best. (I decided to only make sprites for the powerups and leave the enemies as just capsules/circles) I took a little bit of inspiration for this project from the "Journey of the Prairie King" from Stardew Valley.

This game is pretty interesting and fun to play. In the starting, the sounds of the SFX are a bit harsh, the movement and the controls mapped are not too good, however, the game has a good point over retention on the basis of fun and progression. The powerups and the logic of the game actually work. So scaling that upon a higher base would really make this game reach its top spot.

Hello, thank you for your feedback. You mention the controls not being ideal so I was wondering what changes you would recommend to them. I am also unsure of what you mean by "upon a higher base," although I am well aware that it lacks quality graphics and sound design lol.

I would rather say to focus on getting the player controls more fluid and smooth. It should be responsive and intuitive. From the other statement I mean, if you try to polish this game on a larger scale like not only fixing all the errors but also focussing on the Game Design, Game Mechanics, Game Theory, and all the other stuff that are taken care of while making successful Indie Games, then surely, this game would reach the top spot.
